Thai Massage

What is it?

Thai massage has been practiced for more than 2,000 years in Thailand. Built on the foundation of the body’s energy lines, it combines stretching, long leverage techniques, and compression.

What are the benefits of Thai Massage?

Thai massage opens muscles, fascia, and the energy lines of the body to relieve blockages of all types: physical, emotional, and energetic. Thai massage can be used preventatively, to maintain overall wellbeing. It can assist digestion, expand fluid circulation, improve posture, promote flexibility, address breath capacity, and more. Therapeutically, Thai massage can help ease back pain, joint pain, muscular tension and tightness, stress, digestive problems, headaches, and more.

What can you expect from your Thai Massage?

Thai Massage combines slow and gentle deep tissue work; myofascial unwinding to open and release fascia; stretches (isolated and regional, pinned and unpinned), and compression. Your massage therapist uses fingers, soft knuckles, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to administer the massage. Your body will be coaxed into a rhythmic soothing state of relaxation.

Your Thai massage takes place on a floor mat. You will be fully clothed (wear light, comfortable clothing that will not restrict your range of motion).
