Katherine Braun, Dipl. ABT

Shiatsu Therapist

Katherine has always had a deep intuitive sense that she wanted to be “a healer”, although it wasn’t until she discovered Shiatsu that she really knew what this meant for her. She enjoys the depth and connection of the one-on- one interaction in bodywork therapy, and feels deeply honored to be able to share in her clients’ healing journey.

Katherine completed her Shiatsu certification (Dipl. ABT from AOBTA) at Zen Shiatsu in Chicago in 2015. At Zen Shiatsu, she was lucky to learn from mentors who had been practicing Shiatsu for over 40 years, and she participated in two International Shiatsu Symposia. While studying Shiatsu, Katherine was an active participant in the healing community in Chicago, where she had a chance to deepen her yoga and meditation practices, receive regular acupuncture and explore energetic healing. Prior to living in Chicago, her path led her to live and study in Chile, the UK and India, as well as teach in Spain and travel through all three continents.

She holds a double BA in History and Sociology from the University of Michigan, as well as an MSc in Contemporary Urbanism from The London School of Economics. Always ready for a new adventure, she now calls Rehoboth Beach home. Her interests include TCM, ayurveda, ashtanga vinyasa yoga, aromatherapy, reading, exploring on her bike, cooking, drinking tea and delving deeper into holistic health.
